Your agents

Any program that runs in a terminal can sit on the board as an agent: a CLI that is not in the catalog, a wrapper script around one, a REPL.

Add an agent#

  1. Open the list

Go to SettingsAgentsYour agents and choose Add an agent.

  2. Name it and give its command

Enter a name and the executable, for example aider, with any arguments after it. Arguments are split on spaces and quotes are not understood, so wrap anything more complex in a script and point the agent at the script.

  3. Use it

It appears under your agents in the board's All agents picker, the console header's agent switcher, the group composer and the empty board, among the first three of your agents in the console flyout, and under Other in the right-click ring. The command bar's New console offers only the built-ins and Shell.

Choosing a catalog agent that is not a built-in also adds it here. The list is kept in custom-agents.json in the app's data folder.

Orders and loop instructions are typed only into consoles that run an agent, never into a plain shell, so text is never executed as a shell command.

Remove an agent#

Remove it from Your agents. Consoles already running it keep running until you close them.
