Account profiles

A profile is another sign-in of Claude Code or Codex kept in its own configuration folder, so a work account and a personal account can run on the same board at the same time.

Where profiles live#

  • Open the usage pill at the top right, then the person icon or Manage accounts.
  • Profiles exist for Claude Code, through its CLAUDE_CONFIG_DIR setting, and Codex, through CODEX_HOME. Other CLIs have no profiles.
  • Each profile is a folder in ~/Library/Application Support/Hypervibe/Profiles, readable only by your macOS user. Nothing is uploaded.

Add a profile#

Save your current sign-in
Save your current sign-in as a profile copies that CLI's sign-in and settings files into a new profile, with the name you type, or My sign-in if you leave it empty. For Claude Code: .credentials.json, settings.json and CLAUDE.md from ~/.claude, and ~/.claude.json. For Codex: auth.json and config.toml. Sessions and history are not copied.
Connect a new account
Connect creates an empty profile and opens a console on the board where the CLI runs its own sign-in.

Choose which account runs#

  • Use picks the account for new consoles, and for Documents, Diagrams and memory scans. Consoles already running keep their account.
  • To move one console: click its agent badge and pick the account under ACCOUNT. It relaunches fresh, and the badge shows the profile's initials.
  • Each profile keeps its own conversations, so resume on reopen brings back the right conversation for the right account.
  • With profiles, the usage popover shows a chip per account, so you can read each one's limits.
Claude Code and the Keychain

On a Mac, Claude Code may keep its sign-in in the system Keychain, which profiles cannot fully separate yet. After switching, check the account with /status inside the console.

Two sign-ins of the same CLI, side by side.

Remove a profile#

Remove asks first. The profile's saved sign-in files are deleted for good; the rest of its folder, including its settings and conversation history, moves to the Trash. Consoles that used it fall back to your default sign-in the next time they start.

Your providers' terms#

Whether you may hold several accounts, and how each plan may be used, is up to Anthropic, OpenAI and each vendor. Profiles are a convenience for accounts you are entitled to use; each keeps its own limits, and Symvibe never pools or rotates them.
