Symvibe is a native app for Macs with Apple Silicon. You download the signed installer from your account, move the app to Applications and sign in with the account that holds your subscription.

What you need#

A Mac
Apple Silicon (M1 or later) running macOS 14 Sonoma or later. There is no Intel, Windows or Linux build, and the app is not on the Mac App Store.
A Symvibe account
A Google or email sign-in with a verified email address and an active Symvibe Pro subscription: USD 19 a month or USD 190 a year. The whole app, home screen included, opens only after this check.
Agent CLIs
At least one coding agent CLI installed and signed in, such as Claude Code, Codex or Gemini CLI. Symvibe runs the copies on your PATH under your own plans. It does not ship them and asks for no API keys.
An internet connection
The app confirms your subscription with symvibe.com every few minutes. If it cannot, the board stays open for up to 15 minutes from the last good check, then the access screen covers it until the check succeeds. Running consoles are not stopped and your boards are saved.
A microphone, optional
For voice orders and dictation. Speech is transcribed on the Mac.

Set up your agents first#

Symvibe starts any CLI it finds on your PATH, so install and sign in to the agents you use before the first launch. These are the install commands each project documents:

# Claude Code
curl -fsSL https://claude.ai/install.sh | bash
# Codex CLI
npm install -g @openai/codex
# Gemini CLI
npm install -g @google/gemini-cli

Open each one once in Terminal and sign in the way its vendor asks, with the plan you already have. Step-by-step guides cover Claude Code on a Mac and Codex CLI with Homebrew.

Where Symvibe looks for agents

Your login shell's PATH, plus the usual install folders: Homebrew, ~/.local/bin, npm, pnpm, bun, cargo, Volta, asdf and mise. If Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, Grok or OpenCode lives somewhere else, set its path in SettingsAgents.

Download and install#

  1. Choose a plan

Subscribe on the plan page. Payments go through Paddle; the first purchase and each annual renewal can be refunded within 14 days.

  2. Open your account dashboard

Sign in at symvibe.com/account with the same Google or email account. The dashboard shows the current installer with its version, size and SHA-256 checksum.

  3. Move the app to Applications

Open the downloaded DMG and drag Symvibe into Applications. The app is signed and notarized, so it opens like any other Mac app.

  4. Open it and sign in

Open Symvibe and choose Sign in on the web. Your browser opens symvibe.com; sign in there and it hands you back to the app. First launch covers the rest.

Check the download#

Optional. To confirm that the file on your Mac is the one we published, compare its checksum with the one in your dashboard:

shasum -a 256 ~/Downloads/Symvibe-<version>-<build>.dmg

Use the exact name of the file you downloaded, for example Symvibe-1.0.46-28.dmg. The 64-character code at the start of the output must match the SHA-256 checksum in your dashboard character for character.

Updates#

Symvibe checks for signed updates a few seconds after it opens and about every hour after that. Updates download in the background and are verified against the developer's signature before anything is installed.

  • Nothing restarts on its own. When an update is ready, an Update ready pill with a Restart button appears on the home screen and on the board.
  • If you quit Symvibe normally while an update waits, it installs on the way out.
  • Restart asks first when agents are running, because restarting ends their sessions.
  • SettingsAbout shows the version you run and a Check for updates button. When an update is ready, the button becomes Restart now and a Release notes link opens the notes for that update.

Every release is listed in the changelog.

Remove Symvibe#

  1. Turn off live agent status, if you turned it on

Switch it off in SettingsAgents. That removes the entries Symvibe added to your Claude Code and Codex settings. See Live agent status.

  2. Quit and delete the app

Quit Symvibe and move it from Applications to the Trash.

  3. Delete its data, if you want it gone

Boards, threads, memory, documents and account profiles live in ~/Library/Application Support/Hypervibe (the folder keeps the app's former name), and the hook script in ~/.hypervibe. Delete them to remove your boards and app data; your repos are never inside these folders. To remove everything, sign out in SettingsAccount first, then also delete ~/Library/Application Support/FluidAudio (the speech model), ~/Library/Preferences/com.hypervibe.app.plist, ~/Library/Caches/com.hypervibe.app if it exists, the website data of web tiles in ~/Library/WebKit/com.hypervibe.app and ~/Library/HTTPStorages/com.hypervibe.app and ~/Library/HTTPStorages/com.hypervibe.app.binarycookies, and the .hypervibe-backup files next to your Claude Code and Codex settings if you used live agent status.

Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription

Cancel from SettingsAccountManage subscription or from your account dashboard.
